Stalk Rots and Southern Rust

I’ve received preliminary reports of stalk lodging problems in some parts of Western Kentucky. With near-record yields forecasted, this is not surprising. Maybe this seems paradoxical, but a bumper crop is at more risk of stalk rot than a normal crop.

GL2619RR

I was out last week looking at soybean plots and GL 2619RR really caught my eye, very nice height with standability, a beautiful open plant type with pods above the canopy. Remember this is GL 2009RR crossed by GL 2009RR. I’ve attached data below from 35 locations Nebraska to Ohio.
