Bryan and Choctaw counties in SE Okla. were confirmed to have soybean rust in soybeans yesterday - making Oklahoma the 8th state to have rust this year and marking the northern-most progression of the disease this year. <!-more—>
It comes on the heels of the news that Little River Parish in SW Arkansas has soybean rust. U.S. total of positive counties and parishes in 2007: 48 in eight states. Last year at this time, there were 26 counties/parishes with soybean rust in five states.
