University of Illinois Extension has developed and published several new on-line modules that can be used by Certified Crop Advisors for continuing education credit.
The first group of training modules includes four in the areas of Soil and Water Management and Integrated Pest Management. Each module is worth one Continuing Education Unit (CEU). They can be found in the University of Illinois Extension web site. Once at the site, participants will need to register for an account with University of Illinois Extension and sign up for the courses to be taken. This registration is separate from the state ICCA login.
Current specific topics include Soil Organic Matter Management; Soils, Drought, and Crops; Soil Quality Tests; Eight Simple Rules for Crop Scouting.
Registration costs for these on line modules are $10/module. A quiz is included in each module, with a 70% passing grade required to receive credit.
Additional modules will be added in the future, including those in Crop Production and Nutrient Management.
