Here’s the latest report from the University of Wisconsin.

  • 2008 Wisconsin Corn Hybrid Performance Trials Grain and Silage
    The purpose of this program is to provide unbiased performance comparisons of hybrid seed corn available in Wisconsin. These trials evaluate corn hybrids for both grain and silage production performance.
  • 2009 Wisconsin Crop Management Conference (Aglime) Jan 13
    Remember you CCA scan card !! Certified Crop Advisors should remember to bring their scan cards to the Wisconsin Crop Management Conference in January and all other meetings where you expect to receive CEUs. Use of the CCA cards expedites tracking of CEUs.
  • CCA Pre-Test Training Session December 18-19, 2008
    The CCA Pre-Test Training Session, sponsored by UW-Extension, Wisconsin Crop Production Association and the IPM Program will be offered at the Crowne Plaza, Madison on December 18-19, 2008. This training session is designed to assist with preparation for the Wisconsin CCA exam.
  • IPM Field Scout Training Class, January 5-9, 2009
    The Madison Field Scout Training Classes will be held on the UW Madison Campus January 5-9, 2009. This course is designed to provide the skills necessary for proper pest identification, crop scouting techniques and will provide useful baseline information for people who are preparing for the Wisconsin CCA exam.
  • Wisconsin Agronomy Update Meetings 2009, Jan 5-9
    The Department of Agronomy will offer Crop Production and Management Meetings at eight locations during 2009. Joe Lauer, Dan Undersander and Shawn Conley will present the latest information on hybrid/variety performance, an analysis and discussion of last year’s growing season, and updated recommendations for field crop production.
  • Appleton IPM Field Scout Training School, Jan 5
    This 12th annual FVTC Field Scout Training School will be held January 5-8th, 2009. This course is designed to provide the skills necessary for proper pest identification and crop scouting techniques. In addition, basic information such as crop growth and development, pest life cycle, damage symptoms and economic thresholds will be covered.
