Here is Issue 23 of the Pest&Crop Newsletter

The first western bean cutworm was captured in Michigan this week (a single moth) near Lowell in Kent Co. A single moth was also captured in Ohio by OSU. Trap numbers will increase in the second and third week of July.
Last year, we entered Michigan trap catch data into the WBC network web site at Iowa State, but no maps were ever generated. This year, I made my own map of the state. Each location is a dot which will change color with increasing trap catch, similar to the USDA-PIPE web site for soybean rust and aphids. I will generate a new map each week and also for accumulated trap catch, hopefully updating on Saturdays. Ontario is following the same procedure.
The first map is ready, for the week ending June 26. There are 119 sites currently logged in, with a few reporting data. More sites will be added over the next few weeks as people report new locations to my technician, Mike Jewett. Please feel free to use this info in newsletters or as a link in your web site.
