Much talk lately has been about "when will I get back into the field" or "how much stress can the corn that I already planted take?" We look into each of these topics in this issue of our weekly agronomic newsletter.

Adjusting for a late start

Much of the corn belt is behind in corn planting this spring, versus the five-year average.

There is growing concern that we are starting to lose some yield potential for each day that passes with little planting progress.

Troubleshooting corn problems

With the pounding rains in Iowa, Illinois and other parts of the corn belt last week, many farmers are concerned about the few acres of corn they did get planted before the rain. Here's a few articles on how to troubleshoot those problem areas.
